A superb antique English cast iron book press with bronzed brass mounts, dating to the early 20th century. This relatively small but heavy press displays exceptional and substantial craftsmanship, typical of Britains industrial engineering past. Extends to 10cm or 4” working window opening.
Exhibits a lovely age related colourways & patination throughout, all waxed and sealed in, to retain its striking aesthetics. Will serve equally well in a bookbinders workshop, artists craft studio or simply as a prop display in the home.
