A good looking & unusual early 20th century oak chest of drawers, bureau writing desk/escritoire, circa 1930s. The well designed and crafted chest displays great form, taking influence from the Arts & Crafts & Art Deco periods.

To the top, the chest displays a neat bank of three small drawers, flanked by a pair of small cupboard compartments, which sit back on the the hinged middle section that opens out if required to form a writing desk..

Principally, the chest displays a division of three graduated, dovetail jointed drawers, with each retaining their original and decorative gilt metal, drop pull handles. All raised on neatly proportioned and well crafted solid oak block feet.

Condition: Solid, robust & fully functional. May show dings, marks or scars commensurate with age & use. Overall superb. Pictures sum up nicely.
