An exceptional Georgian pine dresser base, or serving preparator table, with a striking patination throughout. Circa 1780 -1820. The partial scrubbed top sits above a well crafted moulded frieze, incorporating two full length drawers, with each drawer retaining their authentic, heavy gauge brass, swan neck handles. The whole structure raised on four classic square tapering legs.

We feel lucky to have sourced this wonderful piece in the order you see here, so to keep the integrity of this piece we have decided to keep it exactly as found by showcasing the natural wear throughout.

Historically, this would have stood in the scullery of a manor house on an old stone floor, while the maids worked on and around it. That thought alone thrills me.

Given the proportions of depth this would also make a great hall table or kitchen island.

Condition: Solid, robust & fully functional. Any woodworm is historical & hard to spot (inner carcass back) but treated twice as a precautionary measure. Pictures sum up nicely. Overall, an absolute gem!
